Terms of Service

Effective November 15, 2026

These terms are a contract between Another Adventure Studio Inc. ("we") and the Customer. They set the rules for using Working Attention. Creating an account, accepting an invite or using the Service means accepting them. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

1. Who these terms cover

The Service is for business use only. The Customer is the company or other organization that uses it. In these terms, "you" means the Customer.

A person with no active seat gets a workspace automatically and becomes its owner, unless they are accepting an invite. If that person signs up for a company, the company is the Customer, and the person confirms they have the authority to bind it to these terms. If that person signs up alone, with no company behind them, they are the Customer themselves.

A person who joins by invite is an Authorized User of the workspace that invited them. The Customer for that workspace stays the same. One person can hold seats in more than one workspace, and each workspace belongs to one Customer.

Everyone who uses the Service must be at least 18. These terms cover Working Attention only. The SimCFO games and course have their own terms.

Words used in these terms

TermMeaning
we, us, ourAnother Adventure Studio Inc.
ServiceWorking Attention: the website, the app, its tools and AI features, and the emails and other messages it sends
CustomerThe company or other organization that uses the Service, or a person who signs up alone as section 1 describes
Authorized UserA person the Customer lets use the Service through a seat in its workspace
workspaceThe space in the Service that holds a Customer's people and content
mapA workflow someone sets out in the Service
seatOne Authorized User's place in a workspace, with a role
Customer DataWhat you and your Authorized Users put into the Service, such as typed text, files, dictation transcripts, replies and details about people you name
AI OutputText and other results the Service produces with AI, such as summaries, analysis, questions, extractions and drafts
Calendar DataWhat the Service gets from a Google or Microsoft calendar an Authorized User connects, as the Privacy Policy describes. It belongs to that person and is not Customer Data
Aggregated/De-Identified DataAggregated, anonymized, de-identified or derived information, analyses, statistics, outputs, insights, datasets or other materials that come from Customer Data, AI Output, usage information, personal information or interactions with the Service, and that do not identify you or any particular individual. It never includes Calendar Data or anything made from it

2. Accounts, seats and workspaces

Each Authorized User signs in with their own account and must follow these terms. You are responsible for your Authorized Users and for what they do in the Service, including keeping their sign-ins secure. If you think a sign-in has been misused, tell us at support@sim-cfo.com.

Each seat has one of five roles: owner, admin, manager, contributor or viewer. Owners and admins invite people, change roles, deactivate seats and manage billing. An admin cannot change or deactivate an owner. Only an owner can change who the owner is.

A seat is for one person. Each workspace has a seat limit, and pending invites count toward it. To accept an invite, a person must sign in with the invited email address before the link expires.

Most Authorized Users cannot leave a workspace on their own. An owner or admin deactivates the seat. An admin can deactivate their own seat, and so can an owner if the workspace has another active owner. The person's data stays in the workspace, except that where reply by email or Slack is switched on, some replies still waiting are dismissed and their text is cleared.

A workspace's only owner cannot be removed, with one exception. If you accept an invite, we archive any workspace you created that never had another person or an invite and has no work in it, and we deactivate your seat there.

What people can see depends on each item's sharing setting and their role. The app does not show another person's private draft to owners or admins. Treat that as a sharing setting, not a security promise.

3. Paid plans and billing

This section applies if your workspace has a paid plan. Not every workspace has one, and paid plans may not be on offer when you read this.

A paid plan is a subscription through Stripe. It belongs to the workspace, not to a person. An owner or admin starts it at checkout, and payment details go into Stripe's page, not ours.

The price, currency and billing period are the ones shown at checkout. A paid plan renews each billing period until it is canceled. You authorize Stripe to charge your payment method for your fees at each renewal.

Canceling

An owner or admin cancels through Manage billing, which opens the Stripe customer portal. The portal shows when the cancellation takes effect.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds in the Service. If you think we charged you in error, write to support@sim-cfo.com and tell us which workspace and which charge.

Taxes

Taxes are yours to pay. That means any sales, use, value-added or similar tax on your fees.

Non-payment

We may limit or suspend access to a workspace if a payment fails or is overdue. We make no promise about whether access continues or ends after a missed payment or a cancellation.

Free access

Beta access and demo workspaces can exist with no payment. We may end either at any time. These terms still apply to them.

4. Customer Data

You own Customer Data, and we claim no ownership of it. Anything an Authorized User adds to your workspace is your Customer Data, private drafts included.

You give us permission to host, copy, process, send and display Customer Data as needed to run, support, secure and improve the Service, and to make the disclosures in section 5. That includes sending it to the third-party services in section 8.

You are responsible for Customer Data, and you must have the right to put it in the Service and to give us the rights in this section. It can name people who have no seat, such as employees and job candidates. Giving those people any notice the law requires, and getting any consent it requires, is your job. The Service gives them no way to see or remove what it holds about them, so if one of them asks, the request falls to you. Write to us at support@sim-cfo.com if you need our help with one.

Aggregated/De-Identified Data

You give us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable license to analyze, aggregate, anonymize and de-identify Customer Data and AI Output, and to use them to create Aggregated/De-Identified Data.

We may use, disclose, license, sell and otherwise commercialize Aggregated/De-Identified Data for any lawful business purpose. That includes analytics, benchmarking, research, product development, marketing, training and evaluating AI models, and creating or selling datasets, reports and insights.

We will not sell Customer Data, or any other data, in a form that identifies you or any particular individual. We do not train AI models of our own on Customer Data in a form that identifies you or any particular individual.

Nothing in this section reaches Calendar Data. Section 8 sets its rules.

This license survives the end of these terms, the deletion of an account and the removal of Customer Data, to the extent the law allows and to the extent the data has already become Aggregated/De-Identified Data. Our use of personal information stays subject to our Privacy Policy, which says we do not sell personal information.

5. Confidentiality

We treat Customer Data, and AI Output made for your workspace, as confidential. We use both only to run, support, secure and improve the Service and to create Aggregated/De-Identified Data. We disclose them only in these cases:

People who work for us can reach Customer Data when that is needed for those uses.

This section does not cover Aggregated/De-Identified Data. Section 4 does.

If we give you non-public information about us or the Service, keep it confidential and use it only for your dealings with us. Neither side owes this duty for information that is public, that it already held, or that it lawfully got from someone else.

6. Acceptable use

You and your Authorized Users must not:

7. AI Output

Many tools in the Service use AI. No setting turns AI off for a workspace, so using the Service means using AI.

Not advice

AI Output is not financial, accounting, legal or tax advice, and we do not act as your adviser. For advice on your own facts, go to a qualified professional.

Review it before you rely on it

AI Output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and it can sound sure when it is wrong. You must have a person review AI Output before you rely on it. You are responsible for your decisions, and for anything you file, publish or send because of AI Output.

Some tools cover employees and job candidates. A person must make any decision about someone's job, such as hiring, pay, promotion or dismissal. AI Output must not be the only basis for that decision.

What happens with no review

Not all AI Output waits for a person. Some of it is saved or sent straight away, and some features send messages on a schedule:

This list is not complete. Treat AI Output as unreviewed unless you know a person has checked it.

AI providers

To produce AI Output, the Service sends Customer Data to third-party AI providers, and one request can reach more than one provider. What a provider keeps, and what it does with it, depends on its own terms and settings. The Privacy Policy says more.

Who owns AI Output

Between you and us, you own AI Output made for your workspace, apart from any third-party content in it. We do not promise that AI Output is unique, that copyright protects it, or that it is free of other people's rights. Another Customer can get similar output.

8. Third-party services and integrations

The Service runs on third-party services. They cover sign-in, hosting, database, AI models, speech to text, read-aloud voice, email delivery, payments, error tracking and, where a person connects one, calendars. Some Customer Data goes to them so the Service can work. The Privacy Policy lists them.

Sign-in is shared with the SimCFO games, and the backend behind those games holds a record for each person who signs up.

We do not control third-party services. If one fails or changes, part of the Service can stop working.

Slack and reply by email are available only where we have switched them on, and they may not be on for your workspace. Where reply by email is off, a reply to an email from the Service may not reach anyone. Where Slack is on, each Authorized User connects their own Slack account, and Slack's terms apply to that account.

Calendar connect

Where switched on, an Authorized User can connect their own Google or Microsoft calendar. It is optional, and the rest of the Service works without it. Google's or Microsoft's terms apply to that account. The Service adds only events the person confirms on screen, and changes or removes only events it added. The person can disconnect at any time.

Calendar Data is used only to run calendar features for that person. You and your other Authorized Users never see it. We never sell it, and we never use it, or anything made from it, to train or improve AI models, even in aggregated or de-identified form. The Privacy Policy says what we read, store and share, and how disconnecting works.

9. Third-party content

The Service refers to, links to and draws on The Secret CFO material (cfosecrets.io) and other sources. We call this third-party content. It can shape AI Output.

Third-party content belongs to its owners, and so do names and logos such as The Secret CFO's. We make no promise about it, including that it is accurate, complete or current. No right in it passes to you under these terms.

Links in the Service can take you to websites we do not control. We make no promise about those websites.

10. Intellectual property

The Service belongs to us or to those who supply it to us. That covers its software, design, name and logo. It does not cover Customer Data or third-party content.

While these terms are in force, we give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your business through the seats in your workspace. We keep every right we do not expressly give you.

If you send us ideas or feedback about the Service, we can use them without owing you anything.

The Service includes open-source software, which stays under its own licenses. One example is SheetJS Community Edition, used under the Apache License 2.0.

11. Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

In plain words, we do not promise that the Service will always be available, free of errors, or safe from every security risk. We do not promise that data will never be lost. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

These terms do not include:

12. Limits of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, NEITHER YOU NOR WE ARE LIABLE TO THE OTHER FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF TOLD THEY COULD HAPPEN.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ABOUT THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE FEES YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

These limits do not cover fees you owe, your promises in section 13, fraud, willful misconduct, or anything else the law does not let a contract limit.

13. Indemnity

You will defend us against any third-party claim that arises from Customer Data, or from use of the Service that breaks these terms. You will also pay the damages, costs and reasonable legal fees that result.

14. Ending these terms

You can stop using the Service at any time, but stopping use does not cancel a paid plan. To end these terms, cancel any paid plan as section 3 describes, then delete your account in the Service or write to us at support@sim-cfo.com.

We may suspend or end access to the Service for a seat, a workspace or a Customer if these terms are broken, if a payment is overdue, if the law requires it, or if we need to protect the Service or other people. We may also stop offering the Service or any part of it.

When these terms end, your right to use the Service ends. Sections 3 (for amounts owed), 4, 5, 9 to 13, 15 and 17 to 19 keep applying after that.

15. Your data after these terms end

Ending a paid plan or these terms does not change or remove Customer Data by itself. Beyond the features listed here, we do not promise to return or delete Customer Data, or to do either within any period. As of the effective date of these terms:

If you cannot use these features, or want something they do not cover, write to us at support@sim-cfo.com. Tell us which workspace and what you want, and we will tell you what we can do. We can keep using Aggregated/De-Identified Data after these terms end, as section 4 says.

16. Changes

We can change these terms. When we do, we post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. We may also tell you by email or in the Service. We do not promise advance notice. The new version applies from its effective date, and using the Service after that date means you accept it. If you do not accept it, stop using the Service and cancel any paid plan.

We can also add, change or remove parts of the Service at any time.

17. Governing law and courts

The laws of Delaware govern these terms, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Any dispute about these terms or the Service goes to the courts in Delaware, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.

18. Notices

Send notices to us at support@sim-cfo.com, or by mail to Another Adventure Studio Inc., 8080 Westpark Drive STE 42019, Houston, TX 77063, USA. A reply to an email from the Service does not count as notice to us.

We can send notices to you at the email address on a workspace owner's account, or show them in the Service. Keep that address current.

19. General

These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If you and we have signed a separate agreement, it controls where the two conflict.

You may not transfer these terms without our written consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, sale or reorganization.

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stay in force. If we do not enforce a term, we keep the right to enforce it later. These terms do not make either side the other's partner, employee or agent.
